About us

Commencing operations in 1997, AJK Design focused primarily on structural design and drawings for private homes, and both small commercial and industrial buildings. This work was conducted under the supervision of two associate engineers with experience in design and construction spanning fifty years.

Since that time AJK Design has had considerable experience working in both the private and public sectors. We now cater for a wide range of structural design specialties – with cost, easy-to-follow designs and ease of construction as our primary considerations.

AJK Design has the capability of designing most areas of infrastructure utilising experienced engineers with the appropriate knowledge and skills. With these qualities and experience we offer a reliable, economical and professional solution for your projects.

Andrey Kandic BE (Civil), FIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ, NER

Andrey has been in the consulting engineering business in Australia for many years and is the director principal at AJK Design. He is also a board member with ACSE. He manages the structural and civil design and documentation of projects, with extensive experience in residential, commercial and industrial buildings and infrastructure.

Andrey has worked in Asia and the Pacific region in design and construction supervision roles with major consulting and construction groups. He is also involved with the military and has been exposed to many challenging engineering situations. As well as being a professional engineer, he holds unrestricted building licences in a number of states and territories throughout Australia.
